This journey is an adventure of Rock Cut State Park, Loves Park, IL. Lunch is at the Boone County Family Café. This Illinois gem known for family-oriented activities is a great spot for having fun. Pierce Lake is stocked with a good range of fish species. Boat rentals are available. Loan Rock Café provides some nice foods. A large campground site is popular. The Lion’s Picnic site is well used. A check-list of approximately 220 species of birds have been identified within, at the boundaries or flying over the park. The Park roads meander and roam thru both dense and scenic wooded areas and provide many delightful vistas of Pierce Lake.
You are invited to join Al and I on this new ride. Focus on these moments in time, space and feeling free. See, hear and listen to the “rhythm of the roads” going to and on in Rock Cut; then allow the Park roads spiritual splendor, in all its natural glory,” stir your soul” before our lunch break and a quick gas stop towards our track home. This is a ride to enjoy, remember and repeat.
